You have puzzle pieces arranged in a rectangular setting. You remove one of the rooms, but the others always form a perfect rectangle. You not only remove a room, but also a second, then a third. Each time a piece is removed, you can easily reconstruct the puzzle into a rectangle.
In the end, even after having removed the parts, the surface of the entire puzzle remains unchanged and is perfectly written in the wooden frame from which it came out.
More importantly, this effect has no secret movement. Nothing is added or stolen, and the rejection is clean.
You can also make the effect upside down. Add three additional parts to the puzzle, and the surface remains the same.
