Dark Series 5
In 1692, the "Salem witch trial" started. It is a persecution of those who are suspected of "playing with the devil". On April 19, Bridget Bishop was translated to the court, accused of having bewitched 5 young women. She is the one who has the most charges to her credit. At the same time, a secret society called "Movement of the occult" (Moto) believes that Bridget was "given" to them by Satan and that she alone will end the suffering of witches in the hands of the Church.
Bridget will forever be known as "The Given" ...
After showing a bridget painting, there is a stack of other cards on which a different name is written. It is explained that these are the names of the other people who have been judged and that, perhaps, Bridget could enslave the spectator by his witchcraft. As an experience, the cards are systematically placed in an 'angel' or 'devil' battery, and the rejected cards are placed with Bridget's photo. Each decision is free and fair, decided only by the spectator.
Although they have made totally random choices, when the stack of angels names has returned, it appears that each card bears a letter of the alphabet on the back and that, in one way or another, they Write "A-N-G-E-L".
The "Devil" cards are returned and we discover that they spell the word "D-E-V-I-L".
How could the spectator have done this without knowing that there were letters on the back of the cards? Was it luck? Or maybe 'The Given' owned them. The rejected battery is then returned and we note that the letters are written "G-i-V-E-N".
"The Given" by Jamie Daws & Alakazam Magic is an effect that works by itself, which allows you to focus on your presentation!
