DVD : LA BOULE ZOMBIE
pierre switon
In this DVD Pierre Switon reveals its most kept secrets of its famous Zombie ball routine.
He explains in the smallest detail to you all the passes and all the tips that will allow you to very easily present this wonderful routine of the Zombie ball.
The operator shows a metal ball from 15 to 20 cm approximately in diameter. Then the ball is covered with an opaque scarf. Music ... And the ball begins to rise in the air, (the operator only holds the scarf with your fingertips) the ball goes up, goes up again, moves forward then back and floats in the air as if it was subtracted from the earth's attraction. The ball goes from right and left, descends and goes back to such a brand that the artist obviously has trouble preventing him from flying to the bottom of the room. The ball returns to the operator, descends behind the scarf, slides along it, goes up and heads towards the artist's head, sliding along his arm. In some sequences, the ball swings from front to back, simply resting in the folds of the scarf.
At the end, the ball disappears body and soul. Only remains, in the hands of Pierre Switon, the scarf ...
Pierre Switon was one of the first to record (on K7) his flying ball routine in the mid-1980s. This DVD is not a "re-masterization" of the first version. No: this is a recent recording, updated and completed with its famous routine, entirely shot at the Museum of Magic by Georges Proust in Paris.

The explanations
After having presented the effect of the flying ball, the artist explains the operation. He redids the whole sequence, but this time the effect is seen from behind to clearly highlight the secret maneuvers to which the operator is engaged thanks to the gimmick which serves him as a support (installation, handling, etc. …). Then the artist redid the same sequence but with the help of a transparent scarf. We thus understand even better the secret employment of Gimmick and its effect on the public.
