A collaboration between Flat Base (creator of PIN) and TCC brings to the world of cube magic a miracle that plays out in the hands of the public.
The magician presents a prediction bag and two cubes. A spectator chooses one, signs it and mixes it. The two cubes are placed in a paper bag. The magician removes the unmixed cube, leaving the signed and mixed one inside. In a striking moment, the paper bag is crushed flat: the signed cube has completely disappeared.
The magician opens the prediction bag to reveal a locked transparent box. Inside is the cube signed and shuffled by the spectator. After this impossible reveal, you can seamlessly segue into other routines, such as an instant resolve or a pattern matching effect.
Alternative presentation: you can also start with a mixed cube already enclosed in the transparent box. After making the cube signed by the audience disappear, it is revealed that the cube inside the box is precisely the one they signed.
Absolute transparency: perform the trick at very close range. Each prop can be fully inspected after the effect, ensuring a strong sense of mystery and participation.
Many effects with cubes are difficult to perform "in the hands" or end in "dirty" props. Crystal Prison addresses both of these issues, delivering a clean, impactful finish.
