CONFÉRENCE EN DUO AVEC MARC DECOUX & PHILIPPE MOLINA
philippe molina
Description:
Marc Decoux is a Belgian magician recognized for his technical rigor, his creativity, and his formidable precision in card magic. He is notably the author of original routines such as "the Zig-Zag card", or "the Indian trunk".
I met him for the first time in 2003, at FISM in The Hague. I had heard about his famous production flourish of the 4 As and I couldn't resist curiosity: I asked him to show it to me. A fluid, elegant gesture, impossible to dissect in the moment. It was in 2019, in Forges-les-Eaux, that we finally took the time to really exchange - and that I discovered a passionate person who was as meticulous as he was inspiring. We immediately hit it off and it is with great pleasure that I receive him for this duo conference which promises to be both rich and original.
Indeed, Marc offers you in this conference a selection of his favorite routines, as well as cutting-edge techniques and principles, often minimalist in appearance, but deeply thought out. Its magic, resolutely magical, is aimed as much at those who seek technical efficiency as at those who love the subtlety of construction.
For my part, I intervene to enrich the conference with dialogues, variations, and additional insights, in a dynamic and lively form. An evening where precision of gesture and passion for detail are in the spotlight, in joy and good humor, good humor instilled in particular by the participation of our friend Régis Stanislawski!
Program:
Marc will present to you a selection of his most notable routines and techniques, including:
Nostradamus:
Two cards are placed face down on the table. The spectator makes choices that produce two complete squares corresponding to the predictions.
ACAAW - Any Child At Any Week:
A scripted version of the famous ACAAN effect.
Triumph in red and black:
A version of this famous Dai Vernon effect, with two chosen cards and a final twist
Within two seconds:
The spectator locates the four cards of a square he has chosen, in a shuffled deck face down.
aCAaN:
An impromptu and automatic version of the number card
The Indian trunk:
A close-up effect of the famous grand illusion
Several visual techniques to produce a map...
and the treatment of several technical aspects...
This summary is given for information purposes only and this list is obviously far from exhaustive! In fact, 17 routines are discussed and dissected. there is something for all tastes and all levels.
Marc also shares his method for performing the "cull" technique, which for my part is the most beautiful version I have ever seen! It's very simple: it's just invisible, even when you're facing the slices of the game. Several conference participants expressed that this technique alone is worth the price of the conference!
In summary, this conference is aimed at all card magic enthusiasts, whether amateurs or professionals, and promises to be a moment rich in learning, inspiration and exchanges.
Don't miss this unique opportunity to dive into the original world of Marc Decoux.
