"Not only Christopher T. Magician finds fantastic methods to amuse children, but they are good! Really good. No filling here. The routines in this book are great. Each of them can become an element of your show. Christopher understands how children think, which makes them laugh and how to entertain them! " - Extract from David Kaye's foreword
Christopher T. Magician stormed the community of children's shows and Family shows With the release of his first book Beyond Look, don't see: furthering the art of children's magic.
Ten years later, he returned with this superb suite, published in English.
Beyond Beyond Look, Don't See is bigger and better than the original, summarizing a decade of experience and growth of Christopher. With its 826 pages, this volume includes 26 New children's show techniques, including Let's Practice, Fallout, The Pop-Out, Add Mentalism, Shrink Vanish, Miscall, and many others ... Each technique is guaranteed to cause laughter and reactions from the young audience.
Each chapter is accompanied by two hilarious routines For children, entirely scripted, which highlight the ease and efficiency with which techniques can be associated with classical magic to arouse crazy pleasure in children.
The strengths of these routines are as follows:
"Yellow" to "to red." :: Christopher's interpretation on scarves that change color implies a yellow scarf on which the word "yellow" is printed. After some unsuccessful attempts to change the scarf in red, the public is surprised to discover that the word "yellow" turned into "red". As a surprise, the yellow scarf changes color, which causes hilarious cries in the audience.
"Disstrussy Ropes." :: Refined during hundreds of shows, Christopher's interpretation on classic strings through the body solves many problems associated with illusion. Filled with visual gags that will make adults laugh and shout children, Two Ropes Penetrate A Child Helper ... Or Did they?!
"The Pop-Out Card." :: After having an empty envelope, a birthday card appears surprisingly, leaving the envelope without the magician's knowledge. Some DIY supplies are enough to make this ingenious accessory.
"Snake Snack." :: Christopher presents here his standard version of magic cooking ... under steroids. After the magical appearance of a spring snake instead of a cake, the public continues to thwart the wishes of the magician by showing several snakes.
As in the original work Beyond Look, Don't See, each chapter is accompanied by several ideas to take and put into practice which demonstrate the usefulness of each technique. Although they are not complete routines, each of these concepts has the necessary potential for any magician to take it and transform it into A classic children's show routine.
Along the way, Christopher pauses in the techniques to present the Spotlight chapters. These chapters, rather than sharing specific routine construction tools, focus on General aspects of a children's show.
These chapters are as follows:
"But Grownups Laugh Too." :: Christopher shares his methods to entertain adults during his children's shows ... without sacrificing children's entertainment.
"Magician Control." :: This frank discussion on the theme of children's control highlights the importance of redefining the way the magician reacts to behavioral problems that arise during a show.
"The Family Show: A Perilous Tightrope." :: A perilous striped rope. Unlike popular belief, children's shows are not family shows. Christopher looks at the differences between the two audiences and explains how to effectively entertain each of them.
Whether he is autonomous or accompanies the first work by Christopher T. Magician, if you care about the quality of your show, Beyond Beyond Look, Don't See An essential work in the library of any entertainment artist for children.
