"This book has become the light that guided me in my trip to make my show mine and a unique spectacle, a show that could reach all ages, at the same time. It gave me the tools of which I needed to create a show that is not only entertaining, but which I could be really proud. "
- Extract from Jon Armstrong's foreword

In 2013, Christopher T. Magician consolidated its place Among the big thinkers of the world of children's shows By publishing his first book on the art of making magic for children. Since then, he has published Just for Fun, a show for all seasons and be More Funny. All Christopher's books were praised for their creativity and their original approach, and led him to browse the world to give conferences and teach his approach to the show for children and adults.

In this Special edition (in English) of the tenth anniversary of Beyond Look, Don't See, the book that started everything, it is not surprising that Christopher could not be content to reissue the book with a preface (although the preface of the incredible Jon Armstrong is one of the biggest honors of Christopher's life). No, as usual, Christopher took this opportunity to revisit his classic and refine him for today's world, ten years later.

In these pages, Christopher revisits each of its performance techniques, by adding new reflections and perspectives. THE 24 techniques, including Say Anything, Misplaced Magic, Premature Magic, Wrong Rhymes, Mis-Made, and many others, are now reworked thanks to the ten years of experience that he has accumulated since the publication of the first edition.

While the original book included 25 fully scripted routines, one to demonstrate each of the techniques described, This new edition includes 48 routines, 41 of which are entirely new, refined in the last decade.

Routine strengths are as follows:

"Pop-tart 2.0." :: One of Christopher's favorite numbers has been an integral part of his magic shows for twenty years. The magician tears a pop-tart in pieces and puts one side. The other pieces are completely reconstructed and the torn corner is inserted in a surprising way. This routine arouses uninterrupted laughter and reactions from children, while leaving the adults completely stunned.

"To Catch in Monkey." :: Christopher has redrawn Eric Lewis's Comedy Comeback card by adding animal images to show how he feeds the monkeys to the zoo. To the delight of children, the bad animal (a chicken) appears several times instead of the desired monkey.

"Professor's Lesson." :: This version upside down and at the place of the classic nightmare of the teacher is a perfect opening for families and adults. The impressive magic associated with the pseudo-explanation leaves the public, young and old, laugh and marvel.

Christopher also includes many chapters "Spotlight", his reflections on children's art:

"The Sequel Show." :: Christopher shares his methods to appease customers when it comes to presenting a new show to a loyal audience.

"No String-of-Tricks." :: Most magic shows come down to a simple chain of towers. Christopher offers some simple additions that magicians can bring to their show to transform it into a complete and satisfactory show.

"Routine Start List." :: One of Christopher's favorite creations, once you have built a children's show full of hilarious plants (based on the techniques of these pages), this list will allow you to find an easy and effective way to start the show.

In this new edition, not a single page was forgotten by Christopher. Fans of the original edition will be delighted to discover that Christopher has actually added A second whole book inside his first book!
