CONTROL by Mickael Chatelain
Material used: 5 white-faced cards and 5 transparent plastic sleeves, nothing else!
ROUTINE 1: ESP TEST
A sticker is stuck on each of the pockets. Remove the cards from the sleeves, one by one, and place them on the table in a visible place.
Collect the empty pouches and draw a different ESP symbol on each sticker using a marker.
The 5 pockets are then placed on the table. The stickers are face down so that no one sees your 5 predictions!
Invite a spectator to shuffle the 5 pockets on the table so that no one, even you, knows where this or that prediction is!
Then take a white card and visibly draw one of the 5 ESP symbols (eg: the circle).
Once the drawing is done, invite your spectator to freely design one of the 5 pockets... Slide the card into the chosen pocket.
Then repeat the same operation with the following 4 cards on which you will have drawn the other ESP symbols, namely: a square, a triangle, a star and waves. Just like before, your spectator will each time choose a pocket into which the card will be slipped. (Not the slightest forcing here)
Then turn the covers over one by one to reveal your 5 predictions!
The spectator won't believe his eyes since the card with the circle is in the right pocket! The proof, the sticker stuck on this cover is indeed the one where you drew a circle!!!
Then turn over the next pocket, the one which contains the triangle card, it seems impossible but on the glued sticker there is a triangle! Your spectator once again had the lucky hand.
Then turn the next cover over the square: once again, the spectator will be fine because it is indeed a square which is drawn on the sticker!
To finish in style, turn the last two pockets over: there is no need to tell you the result! The viewer has, once again, been right: everything is 100% correct!
Magic? Mentalism? Coincidence or luck?
The public will be wondering for a long time. And will never forget this mysterious experience.
ROUTINE 2: ROCK-PAPER-SCISSORS
Here is a BONUS routine, a very intriguing routine, which can be done immediately upon receipt of CONTROL!
The famous game of "Rock - Paper - Scissors"
A routine where the spectator seems to have a chance of winning. Any chance? Are you sure?
Don't forget that with CONTROL, you decide, but no one knows that!
In the end, you will win every time, leaving your audience no chance, a new kind of hat in a way.
