"Twisted Sisters" is one of the great magician's best-known card magic effects: John BANNON.
The Effect:
You place two packs of 4 cards in front of you, one with a red back, the other with a blue back.
You invite a spectator to choose a packet, suppose they choose the packet with red backs. You therefore assign the blue-backed packet to a second spectator. You ask the first spectator to think of one of the 4 ladies and to only say the color of the lady he has chosen, so that the second also thinks of a lady, but of the other color.
You then claim that you had turned over a card, a queen in each of the packets.
It is only after this statement that the spectators name the lady they are thinking of. You then fan the cards from the 2 packs and indeed, only one card is face up in each pack! the lady named by the viewer!!!
The spectators are already speechless and yet that's not all...
On your momentum, you affirm that the ladies have not only turned around, but that they have traveled! They changed packages. To prove it, you turn over the 2 ladies: in the blue packet, the lady has a red back and in the red packet, she has a blue back!!!
Having pierced the thoughts of the 2 spectators, you had predicted the ladies that they were going to name, which is why the 3 other cards in each pack are not the 3 other ladies, but jokers!!!
