"Twisted Sisters" is one of the best known effects of the magician John Bannon.
The effect:
You put two cards in front of you, one is on a red back, the other with blue backs.
You invite a spectator to choose a package, suppose he chooses the red back package. You therefore attribute the blue back package to a second spectator. You ask the first spectator to think of one of the 4 ladies and to say only the color of the lady he chose, so that the second also thinks of a lady, but of the other color.
You then say that you had returned a card, a lady in each of the packages.
It is only after this assertion that the spectators call the lady that they think of. You then fan the cards of the 2 packages and indeed, only one card is facing in the air in each package! The lady named by the spectator !!!
The spectators are already speechless and yet that's not all ...
On your momentum, you say that the ladies have not only turned around, but that they have traveled! They changed their packages. To prove it, you return the 2 ladies: in the blue package, the lady has a red back and in the red package, she has a blue back !!!
Having pierced the thinking of the 2 spectators, you had planned the ladies they were going to name, that is why the other 3 cards of each package are not the other 3 ladies, but Jokers !!!
