Family Values is back, better and easier than ever!

Here is its version 2.0 by Mark Elsdon.

It combines two major effects to create a memorable effect.

Combining the strong points of Heirloom and Phil Deck; Mark Elsdon created a super simple routine ... but very powerful!

The effect:

The magician presents an old box of playing cards dating from the early 1900s. They declared that the cards formerly belonged to the "Atkins family". In the box, there is an old family's tatter photo, Frank, his wife Mary and their daughter Eve. Unfortunately, the story tells that Frank was a big drinker, a player and a petticoat runner. Frank also considered himself a good adventure disseur and believed that he could predict the future of people.

The interpreter asks: Have you ever heard the sentence "Your card is marked?". Frank believed that everyone had a "card" and wrote the names of family members and friends on the back of all his playing cards. The interpreter shows the cards in the box so that they all have different faces and names of different people written on the back. The spectator is invited to choose a card with a random name and a random card in the pack.

The magician replicates: The story tells that there was a fire in the Atkins house, fortunately Mary and the girl Eve escaped unhappy but unfortunately Frank was killed. It is said that Frank's mind still lives in his cards and that he really knew the future. "

Then, he now shows that Frank holds a card to play in the photo ... This corresponds to the selection of the spectator! The photo is now returned. There is a confession written by Mary that she killed her husband Frank.

The name freely chosen by the spectator is Marie.

What the pros say:

"A highly commercial effect that the magicians and the mentalists will love. Super simple, super entertaining and super strong! -Michael Murray

Original routine and presentation that can still be executed:

The magician displays a shred photograph of his deceased great-aunt and his uncle. It is explained that this aunt was an incurable player who also had a strong interest in magic, an interest which was transmitted in the family.

Offering a quick demonstration, the magician presents a rather unusual playing card game. The mixed game has regular faces, but their backs each bear a different name. The spectator freely chooses two cards of the game, one to decide a specific card, the other to decide a name. It is claimed that the selected card was a personal favorite of the deceased great-aunt.

To the amazement of all, it is revealed that the uncle in the photo holds the same card! The magician explains that what is even more surprising is that the name chosen is also the very name of the aunt in the photo!

But how can the magician prove that?

The spectator is invited to return the photo and read the message on the back.

The handwritten message is actually signed by the same name selected at random a few moments earlier!
