This is exactly what it looks like;
1. A pen and a quarter are examined.
2. The part is held with the fingertips.
3. The pen is placed on the part, and it passes slowly and visibly through its center.
4. Once the pen is pressed into the room, the room can be shown from all angles. The audience can see the torn metal where the pen passes through it. The audience can even slide the coin up and down along the pen.
5. You remove the quarter from the pen and immediately hand both objects back to the audience for inspection.
