« What proof do we have that our life is not a dream? Can art do without rules? Does it depend on us to be happy? »

These philosophical questions have all crossed our minds one day or another, whether forced and forced on school benches or freely watching the rain fall ...

In essence, philosophy is at the heart of each. The mentalist Fred Darevil understood this, and it is with a question of this style that it generally starts the presentation of an effect using its Philodeck. This multiple possibilities has long been kept secret. Today, Fred Darevil considers that it is time to release it and share it with the magic community!

What is the Philodeck?

It's about of a playing cards oracular Like those that can be found in esoteric shops and bookstores. It is made up of two packages of twenty-six cards complementing itself in order to be able to present as many quotes from different philosophers.

Here's how to explain how your spectators work:

« You start by mixing the two halves of the game separately while thinking of a personal question you want an answer. You then return the cards two by two and the first complete quote that appears is the response of the Oracle. If none appears, you mix the cards again and start again. The firm the quote, the firm the answer. If you don't get any after three trials, it is recommended to take the time to think about your question and consult the Oracle again a few days later. »

From there, you can present Many routines. Here are the ones that are detailed in the book:

  • A spectator chooses a card in one of the half, the card located at the same rank in the other half completes the quote!
  • A spectator chooses a card, she completes the quote on your prediction card!
  • A spectator decides on all the distribution choices of a pack of ten cards, and yet these choices will lead to forming five full quotes!
  • In a “Memory” game, you find the quote chosen by a spectator;
  • A card chosen by a spectator is the complement of that the magician kept in his portfolio in the form of an omen.

The Philodeck also has the following characteristics:

  • He looks like A real game such as one could find it in an esoteric shop;
  • He is brand, allowing you to know the identity of each philosopher by only looking at the back;
  • He is discreetly asymmetric, opening up multiple other possibilities;
  • It is easily classable in rosary natural.
  • The theme of philosophical quotes allows a interesting presentation For spectators.

As you can see, this is a versatile, natural tool, which will allow you to exchange with your spectators and to provoke a reflection that will not only come from the feeling of mystery that you will give off!

You will receive the playing cards Philodeck and a real book (sewn binding, rigid cover, quadri printing), quality.
