What is Chao?

During the long term of Chinese history, each chao (which is the word pronounced for dynasty in Chinese language) is distinguished by the name and impact of individuals who have reigned over this period. This playing cards Very special and unique pays tribute to four of the largest and most recognized dynasties in Chinese history - Han, Tang, Ming and Qing. Each dynasty has an exceptional and renowned emperor, empress and general, each with their own notorious features and fascinating stories. The Chao represent these influential men and women, renowned and celebrated in each of the four famous dynasties!
To capture the essence of each dynasty, a lot of time and resources have been devoted to the search for this project. The illustrations and design are inspired not only by renowned leaders of the four dynasties, but also of Chinese culture itself, visible all over the game.
The Chinese emperors, impressions and generals chosen for the King, Queen and Valet maps all represent a great power, wealth and wisdom, each with different features and personalities and each dynasty holds its own brands to differentiate them from the others. Inspired by these different elements, each emperor has distinct clothes and accessories from his time, the impressions have different posts and hold the instrument they have played and the generals carry armor and give the weapon used to fight in their notorious battles. Fine and complex details are added on each courtyard card, allowing each individual to have different facial characteristics that best reflect their character.

Chao was designed to closely follow that of a playing cards Traditional in terms of positioning, including the direction in front of the head, the placement of the hands and the presence of weapons and artefacts.
The 4 Aces include very detailed Chinese patterns. We have also added a Chinese dragon on the ace of spades - a symbolism of power and the imperial force.
A new limited edition deck (only 2500 will be produced) manufactured by MPC. The cardboard paper used is the Lin Air M32 associated with the highly sought -after BETA finish which has been designed for really exceptional handling.
Feel the unique difference on this playing cards newly designed if you have not already done so. As this deck is a limited edition, once it is exhausted, that will be all. If we have decks after this project, they will be sold at a higher retail price on our website until exhaustion.
The storage box completes the general aesthetics of the game and is offered in a color carefully chosen to represent imperial yellow, symbol of honor and representative color of China. The embossing and stamping with gold leaf are used to symbolize wealth and royalty.
The sticker seal on the storage box uses a buffer cutting pattern. The Chinese text displayed is the name of MPC's parent company, QP Group, with a traditional red ink ink.
