The "magic towers", strictly speaking, may not require any address, or an address that the public does not perceive. In the case of frills, what the magician does is perceived by the public as difficult and requiring a lot of training. Robert-Houdin called them "ornamental manipulations".

Harry Houdini, Camille Gaultier, Jean Hugard, Jerry Andrus, Daryl, Jeff McBride - among other great artists - brought their letters of nobility to frills. To dress a trick, nothing like an elegant and grace -full frills. If it is not compulsory to know how to handle well to become a magician, a magician who masters the manipulation of cards offers real moments of rapture to his audience. Paul Lepaul writes:

"The more the presenter is skillful, the stronger is the impact on his audience."

And Walter Gibson:

"Houdini was targeting the spectacular in his manipulations. For this reason, when he knew very well of more subtle techniques, he emphasized frills in his shows."

This encyclopedia brings together 180 basic frills, more as many variants and combinations. The author has made it a point of honor to differentiate movements, favoring the best impact/difficulty ratio. Thus, between two equivalent impact techniques, it presents the easiest of execution. The content of the book has existing movements, but also more than half of equipment from long years of practice and research specific to the author.

The book covers all areas: cuts with one or two hands, mixes with one or two hands, accordions, waterfalls, shifts on the arms, fans, throws ... As many categories that the author has practiced every day for thirty years. The reader will probably not perform all these movements - it would be useless and terribly time -consuming. But here it has a widest possible panorama of the different existing frills. It's up to him to choose the ones he prefers and that are best for his style.

Visually, the book is a wonder. It has more than 2800 technical shots representing the author's hands at work. Each frills can thus be followed step by step, as in a film. It is a beautiful solid and beautifully well done work, made to last.

as a bonus:

The book also includes a 40 -minute demo DVD in which the author performs the most difficult frills and shows 12 routines from his repertoire.

This DVD is a collection of extracts from the collection of 4 DVDs published apart.
