A playing cards To play in a beautifully illustrated limited edition, printed on durable cardboard paper made from grass and leafy parts of plants.

These playing cards Medieval Castle, created by MPC (Makeplayingcards), aim to illustrate the life of the castle in medieval times. The "clover valet" card shows a typical soldier protecting the castle. He is fully armed, mounted on a horse with a bulletproof vest to protect it during the battle.
The "Queen of Carreau" card shows a typical day at the castle where the subjects come to lend allegiance and dedication to their lord dressed in flamboyant outfit.
The "tile valet" shows a lord with his huge gold and parts reserve which are generally stored in a well -secured space inside the castle.
The "King of Pique" is a king, armed with an ax, thinking of his next blow in a game of chess. Kings used chess to refine their war strategy skills in medieval times.
The castles are generally surrounded by a large expanse of land which serves the Royals for leisure hunting. An example is the valet of spades with the image of a man carrying his "game" which he killed with his bow and his arrow.
In wartime, the castle is a fortress and generally the target of the opposition. There is a belief that once the castle falls, the city falls. The "King of Pique" card shows an army general plotting how to invade the castle with the conviction that if the castle falls, the city falls. Other images on playing cards also give you an idea of what the life of the castle looks like

The artwork :
The illustration is entirely hand -drawn and adapts perfectly to the new E27 cardboard paper.
We have had a lot of ideas for figures to show as many aspects of castle life in medieval times as possible.
They were first sketched before the sketches chosen turned into a more detailed drawing, some of which are presented below. Many have not entered the game. Many drawings took a more violent theme but we have chosen to go in a softer direction after mature reflection.
The result is that the game is much more attractive to use!
The artefacts that members of the royal family hold are based on research, for example, the king of a tile holds an orb, a type of globus which, in medieval times, was a typical object to have with them when they were seated on the throne.
In addition, if you look more closely, you will be able to see the costumes as part of the drawing where, for example, the clover costume is engraved on the rear wall of the map of the club queen and the queen of heart holds a scepter with a heart on top.
The card design took us a while to be correct. We opted for a white border design with 2 castles facing the middle of the map showing the castle before and after the battle where 1 is destroyed and 1 is in its old glory. The drawing is not symmetrical.
A new MPC durable cardboard paper:
To align with MPC's objective to reduce its carbon footprint, to use more environmentally friendly paper, with this game, we present a new cardboard paper made from more durable sources.
This new cardboard paper is called E27 Eco-Herbage and is made from grass and the leafy part of the plants. The paper contains a natural brunette shade with clearly visible fibers.
The E27 cardboard paper really adds a more natural and earthy feeling to the castle playing cards and fits perfectly with the design.
